One week down . . .

Well, I finished my first week of school. Things are going fine so far. It's an adjustment going back to teaching five classes a day and having one planning period. We've been spoiled with two plannings per day for several years. I'm still trying to figure out my potty breaks. Last year I taught one class, had a period off, taught two classes, had a period off, taught one class, went home. Now I teach FOUR classes, get one period off, and teach one class.

We've had water problems at school. We lose water pressure and can't flush toilets, wash hands, or get a drink. They walked all the kids to the high school for a potty break one day. Not so bad, though. I got an extra planning that day because I was on planning when they took them and it took two hours. :-)

I went to work today to get a few things done on my school computer--faster than my home one. The electricity was off . . . and an alarm was buzzing. Don't know how long the electric was out, but I'm guessing awhile because everything in my fridge was warm and it had defrosted all over the top of my file cabinet. Ick!!

We just finished three years of renovations on our building that opened in 1998 . . . and now our water and electric are going. Maybe we should just start over. LOL
