Full moon?
I have had it up to my eyeballs with crazy parents this week! I have been fussed at by four parents in two days. . . three of which think their children do no wrong, and one that isn't even the parent of one of my students.
Grrrr. . .
I'm hoping for a snow day Monday.

had to refer a kid for cheating this week...then had to hang up on his mother b/c she was yelling at me. (of course i talked over her and told her that i would not tolerate such and was hanging up) apparently i was picking on her kid, trying to get him in trouble, kicking his bag out of the way to catch him, and embarrassing him in front of everyone. uhhh no. #1 for me is to not draw negative attention to any student. kid admitted that he lied to his mom and has been very nice ever since. i will eventually have to sit in a conference with her. admin thinks it would be good for her to meet me and realize how off base she was.
ahh, don't you just love our job.
Our team had a meeting with a parent yesterday who chided one member of the team for not standing over his son and forcing him to turn something in for a poetry project. No matter that child was told every day for 3 weeks that the project was late and the date grades were due.
Dad suggested it was our job to go through his son's backpack in situations such as these.
Maybe...maybe I do that if I teach 3rd grade. No way is that happening in the sixth grade.
Next week I have another parent meeting that should be just as much fun. :)
