No You Didn't

I saw one of my 6th graders at the grocery yesterday. He did wave at me, but he looked horrified. In my defense, I don't think it was ME in particular, but the fact that there were EIGHT teachers there. (The kids were off yesterday and some of us went to the deli for lunch.)

But anyway. . .

Today when he came to class, the first thing he said was, "I saw you at the store yesterday!"

I should have known to expect it because kids often say that although I'm not sure why they do when they know I saw them, too. For whatever reason, today I had a strong urge to look at him with my most serious expression and say, "No you didn't."

No Crue for Me

I'm quite disappointed because I won't be in the audience for the Motley Crue show in Louisville tonight. Now, Chad agreed to take me, but I was too stingy to allow him to fork over the $64 each for the lower arena seats or the $44 for the upper arena seats. Plus, with the gas still high, I don't want to think of how much the 250 mile round trip would have cost. Now, I wouldn't have had any trouble taking the day off tomorrow. I get one personal day off per year, and I used to take it for "concert recovery" every now and then back in my young & single days.

So, it doesn't look like I'll get to drool over Nikki Sixx tonight. I used to drool over Vince Neil, but he's kind of old & fat now. (No reality in my rock & roll, please.) I actually dreamed about Tommy Lee awhile back. I think I watched too many episodes of Tommy Lee Goes to College before bed that night. I believe Dave Navarro is filling in for Mick Marrs, so I could have drooled there some, too.

I emailed the radio station I listen to every morning to see if they'd play a song for me in the morning. Maybe they will. . . nothing like a little Cure to start off the morning. :-)
